The 27½ and 22½-foot-wide townhouses read as a single, cohesive residence while drawing on the architectural vocabulary of their historic block. Smooth face brick on the ground floor grounds the composition, recessed window arrays with stepped brick headers echo neighboring row houses, and a setback fourth story clad in blue-gray terracotta nods to the area's mansard rooflines. The jury praised the process work behind the design, and the client turned to the studio specifically for its track record moving projects through historic district approval efficiently.
