Jason's Holiday Cookies
EVERY time I've given out this recipe, the recipient has accused me of withholding an ingredient because of disastrous results... But let's try one more time!
Ingredients
- 3 sticks of regular butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 2 beaten eggs
- 4 cups flour
- 4 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp. ground cloves
- 2 tsp. ginger
- ½ tsp. salt
How to Make Holiday Cookies
- Preheat oven to 355 degrees.
- Mix regular butter with granulated sugar.
- Add molasses and eggs, continue to mix.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ground cloves, ginger and salt. Now- with the cloves, cinnamon and ginger I use four heaping 1/2 tsps. instead of two flat tsps. So I go over on the spices. I think that gives them a crack-like addictive quality.
- Mix that all up. Then...
- Roll into 1" diameter balls and roll the balls in a bowl of granulated sugar and put on the non-stick cookie sheets.
- Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes.
- I also tap the sheet about 10 minutes in, so that they'll "fall". I think this helps with being able to get them crispy on the outside and chewy on this inside.
You should get about 75 cookies out of all of this...
No need for payment on this. If it actually works it will be a miracle... good luck...
