Claire's Swedish Spritz
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 tsp. almond extract (more if you like)
- 2/3 cups sugar
- 2¼ cups flour
- 3 egg yolks
How to Make Swedish Spritz
- Cream butter and sugar, then add egg yolks one at a time, beating between each addition.
- Add the extract and flour (a little at a time).
- Put through (thin) cookie press directly onto cookie sheet. Cover with colored sprinkles, and slice into pieces.
- Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.
Notes
- Doubling recipe does not work well.
- Use a very good butter.
- Handle as little as possible.
- Place dough waiting to be used in a plastic container, as it will dry out, and be harder to press.
- Remove from cookie sheet immediately.
