Claire Leavengood-Boxer, RA
Claire joined The Brooklyn Studio in the fall of 2016, and currently serves as a Project Manager for residential rowhouse renovations in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Much of her work focuses on historical restoration, and she enjoys the challenge of integrating the historical details of rowhouses with the desired spatial needs of modern life. She also plays a large role in the management of projects, including the coordination of project financials, oversight of project schedules, and communication with clients and project consultants.
Prior to joining the firm, Claire worked at PLY Architecture, Safdie Architects, and Cooper Carry Architects, where she gained experience working at a variety of scales. She has worked on urban planning projects, large commercial projects, and office re-design projects. Claire enjoys the hands on nature of the construction process and working closely with clients and consultants, which has led her to a career in residential design.
Claire received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Architectural Studies and Environmental Studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and her study in environmental design initiatives continue to drive her design sensibilities. Claire went on to receive her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan, where she received the Henry Adams Award of excellence. She studied the integration of design and social justice, which she went on to pitch to the Soros Justice Fellowship committee.
Claire is a native of Washington D.C. and has lived in Brooklyn since 2016.
