Christine joined The Brooklyn Studio in the summer of 2024 to assist the operations team in managing the day-to-day administrative operations of the front office, HR, and accounting. She is a cultural professional with a deep love for art and design and for working with creative people. Much of her career has been dedicated to supporting the work of gallery executives and emerging and established artists.

Christine grew up in Michigan and has a BFA in Photography from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. She relocated to New York in 2005. Her interests are photography, art, design, architecture, travel, rescue dogs, clean beauty and wellness.

Taking inspiration from a popular nineteenth-century parlor game, we sat down with each member of our team and asked them a few questions about their inspirations and aspirations.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Having coffee in the Narrows Botanical Gardens with my partner, and our beautiful active senior, mystery mix rescue dog.

What is your greatest fear?

Not having coffee.

What is your greatest extravagance?

Getting deliveries of organic wine, fruit, and vegetables.

What talent would you most like to have?

I would like to sew - make handbags and clothing.

What is your favorite color?

All shades of blue.

What is your favorite virtue?

Compassion.

Which living architect or designer do you most admire?

Artist Janis Provisor.

Which dead architect or designer do you most admire?

William Van Alen for the landmark Chrysler Building in NYC.

What is the trait that you most appreciate in a building?

Insulation, sound proofing, level floors, natural light, and high ceilings.

What is your most treasured possession?

Family photo album.

Where would you like to live?

For now, New York. For later, somewhere with cleaner air and fewer people.

What quality do you most admire in others?

Empathy.

Stranded on a desert island, you have two books in your possession. What are they?

The book I’m reading now No Hiding in Boise by Kim Hooper, and the book I’m reading next Heartland by Sarah Smarsh.
