Avery Edson
Avery joined the Brooklyn Studio in the winter of 2026. She received her Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia in 2025 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles. During her graduate studies, she developed an appreciation for architecture as an art through her study of hand drawing, physical modelmaking, and painting.
Prior to joining The Brooklyn Studio, she worked on several small-scale public installations that challenged conventional material processing and explored the restorative potential of space and form. She also worked briefly as an architectural modelmaker, where she continued to strengthen her craft.
In her free time, she enjoys running through New York City’s parks, reading, visiting art museums, and sketching.
