Andrew Acevedo

Project Manager

A native New Yorker, Andrew joined The Brooklyn Studio in the spring of 2021. Previously, he was a designer at Fogarty Finger Architects, where he worked on a variety of commercial projects for Cushman & Wakefield and Tishman Speyer. He also worked at Lothrop Associates, where he focused on library and commercial projects.

Andrew has extensive technical and graphic computer skills, which allow him to work on projects from inception through completion. At The Brooklyn Studio, he has applied his years of experience in other fields to the practice of residential architecture.

Andrew received his Master of Architecture from Syracuse University and his Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies and Studio Art from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. In his spare time, Andrew plays flag football and enjoys cycling throughout New York City.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

My idea of perfect happiness is seeing everyone I love happy and healthy.

What is your greatest fear?

Being unhappy.

What is your greatest extravagance?

Buying new Apple products every year.

What talent would you most like to have?

I have always wanted to sing.

What is your favorite color?

Forest Green.

What is your favorite virtue?

Courage.

Rem Koolhaas.

Antoni Gaudí.

A building’s form.

Public architecture.

The two massive family photo albums my parents gave me.

Where would you like to live?

I would live in a converted van and travel the world.

Generosity.
