Alex Kinnan

Project Designer

Alex joined The Brooklyn Studio in the summer of 2021. He earned his Master of Architecture from Kansas State University in 2021, and he holds a Bachelor of Leadership Studies from Kansas State, which he received in 2019. In the autumn of 2019, Alex attended Fondazione Centro Studi in Orvieto, Italy, where he studied the urban fabric of Italian cities.

Prior to joining The Brooklyn Studio, Alex was an intern at The Lawrence Group in New York City, where he worked on a variety of hospitality and interiors projects. Alex has also worked as a Historical American Building Surveyor for Kansas State University’s College of Architecture, working to add more mid-century buildings to the National Register.

Alex grew up in Kansas City. In his free time, Alex enjoys running, reading, and photography.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Going for a run and nothing hurting.

Losing my wallet and earthquakes.

The ability to do math without scratch paper.
