Albert Vargas

Project Designer

Albert joined The Brooklyn Studio in the summer of 2022. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from New York City College of Technology and associate degrees in Architectural Technology and Industrial Design. His bachelor’s thesis focused on a marginalized community called La Zurza in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

During his studies, Albert worked as a College Laboratory Technician. He operated the college’s manufacturing lab, and he taught workshops in rendering, CAD, and 3DS Max. He also worked for a property management company, where he managed building permits and insurance compliance. In his free time, Albert enjoys visiting museums, experiencing new places, and learning new software skills.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Having an abundance of peace, time, and a healthy family.

What is your greatest fear?

My greatest fear is losing a loved one.

What is your greatest extravagance?

My greatest extravagance is my passion for trying different restaurants.

What talent would you most like to have?

Photographic memory!

Blue.

Daniel Libeskind.

Louis Kahn.

Sustainability.

Residential architecture.

My mother’s graduation ring.
